สองเดือนของการคิดและทำงาน ‘เทพประทานเพลง’ ในงาน Bangkok Design Week 2020 เริ่มจากเดินลัดเลาะสำรวจพื้นที่ตลาดน้อย นั่งคุยกับคน สัมภาษณ์ อัดเสียง วาดภาพ ถ่ายภาพ บันทึกวิดีโอ ตัดปะคอลลาจ บางครั้งก็จริงจังถึงขั้นทำขึ้นมาเป็นชิ้นงานเล็กๆ เพื่อให้ตัวเองเห็นภาพไอเดียชัดขึ้น ไอเดียมากมายที่เราโยนใส่กล่อง บางชิ้นกลายเป็นวัตถุดิบชิ้นสำคัญที่ต่อยอดกลายเป็นผลงานจริง บางชิ้นไม่ถูกใช้ แต่ก็ได้ทำหน้าที่เป็นเหมือนสปริงบอร์ดพาเรากระโดดไปสู่ไอเดียอื่น

Talad Noi Archives เป็นเหมือนกล่องเก็บข้าวของทางไอเดียที่เราเปิดมันออกในวันสุดท้ายของกระบวนการและพบว่าวัตถุดิบหลายชิ้น สามารถบอกเล่าเรื่องราวระหว่างการทำงานชิ้นนี้ของเราได้ หลายชิ้นอาจเป็นประโยชน์กับนักออกแบบและคนที่กำลังสนใจกระบวนการทำงานศิลปะร่วมกับชุมชน หลายชิ้นคล้ายเป็น ‘จดหมายเหตุ’ ที่บันทึกช่วงชีวิตของตลาดน้อยในปี 2020 เอาไว้ บางชิ้นอาจกลายเป็นแรงบันดาลใจให้ใครบางคน สามารถนำมันไปต่อยอดกลายเป็นงานของตัวเอง

 

เมื่อคิดได้แบบนั้น เราจึงไม่รอช้า จัดข้าวของ เรียงเรื่องราว และส่งต่อมันออกไปในรูปแบบเว็บไซต์ เพื่อแบ่งปันกล่องเล็กๆ ที่ชื่อ Talad Noi Archives นี้ให้กับทุกคน

2 months of creating ‘Thep Prathan Pleng’ for Bangkok Design Week 2020 began with exploring Talat Noi area intimately through many methods. From walking, interviewing, field recording, drawing, photographing, video recording, collaging - to setting up some experimental projects as a prototype. This process helped us understand the community and our initial idea better. At the end, there are huge amounts of collected materials and ideas that we have been throwing in the box along the process. Some became important ingredients that were developed into the final work. Some stayed unused but acted as a springboard that bounced us up to another ideas. 

 

Talat Noi Archives is our idea storage box that we reviewed and discovered that many collected materials can tell so much about our work process. Many may be useful for all the designers and people who are interested in community art. Many may act as an archive for Talat Noi 2020. Many may be an inspiration for someone seeking some ingredients to develop their own work. 

 

So, we packed our stuff, put them in places and packaged them into a website. We can’t wait to share this tiny stuffed box of Talad Noi Archives with everyone!
